Over the years, Erik has been a regular speaker & moderator at major international telecom conferences.
Nimisha has international expertise in the field of competition and regulation and has worked in consultancy firms and competition regulators in UK, New Zealand and Singapore.
She has led high-profile and complex merger investigations, drafted merger control guidelines and advised government agencies on competition matters involving regulation, policy and public procurement. She conducted economics research, supervised market studies and led a regulatory review at the Singapore Tourism Board.
At the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore, as Deputy Director, Nimisha supervised a seminar on e-commerce and gained in-depth industry knowledge on credit cards, taxis, car parts, liner shipping and cruiseports. In 2015, Nimisha was seconded to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
As an expert, Nimisha has presented to business associations, business schools, universities, workshops for ASEAN government agencies, as well as at the International Competition Network Conference.
She is a former member of the UK Government Economic Service and worked at the Office of Fair Trading and the Radiocommunications Agency, providing economic advice on radio spectrum matters.
Nimisha has a MSc degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also has a BSc (Hons) degree in Economics from University College London.
Joshua is Head of data centre for A*STAR and manages its corporate data centre. Prior to joining A*STAR, Joshua was with IDA, where he was involved in delivering a resilient and secure hosting environment for the public sector.
John Sullivan is Telstra’s Head of Global Voice and Mobility. Based in Singapore, John is responsible for driving Telstra’s worldwide voice strategy as the market transitions from traditional calling to OTT and cloud based services
Prior to this, John was the Regional Head of Asia for Telstra’s voice business leading growth in the Asia region for both voice and mobility services.
John has 20 years’ experience in the Telco industry with past roles in operations, sales, marketing and business development spanning both the Voice and Data segments. He was MD & Country Manager of Telecom NZ in Singapore before joining Telstra.
René oversees the global business development of the services Fugro provides to the subsea cable industry such as desktop studies and route surveys. René is also responsible for this service line in Asia Pacific. René started his offshore career in 1998 in Singapore with CGG, supporting near shore seismic acquisition projects. He headed Fugro offshore positioning service line in Asia Pacific between 2002 and 2009. In 2004 he revived the Cable Route surveys service line in Asia and participated in the creation of a global cable expertise service line within Fugro group.
Right after graduating from Sultan Qaboos University - Oman in 2005 as a Telecom Engineer with distinction, Yasser joined Oman Mobile (which was merged afterwards with Omantel) as a Radio Network Planning & Optimization Engineer. He spent four years in the technical department and evolved into a Senior Engineer in the network planning area. In 2009, Yasser made a switch to the Wholesale Business Unit. He currently holds the position of Senior Manager National Accounts & Interconnection.
Yasser is leading a team responsible of managing the accounts of national wholesale customers such as network operators and virtual operators who are leasing network capacity and infrastructure from Omantel. Maintaining the business relation, making sales and engaging into commercial agreements are considered as key activities for the department which Yasser manages.
Yasser played an instrumental role in the introduction and evolution of MVNOs in Oman from a host network operator perspective as the MVNOs who partnered with Omantel were the first to launch in the Middle East. He also led and participated in numerous strategic projects which helped to expand the national wholesale business of Omantel by introducing new commercial models and innovative products and services.
Yasser has participated as a speaker and panelist in various local, regional and international conferences on behalf of Omantel. He will be presenting an overview of Omantel Wholesale during GCCM 2019.
Lay Khuan has been in Telecommunications industry for over 30 years; her experience ranges from being in the back end of Operations, Network Design and Development, Product and Process Development; Market and Partner Establishment to the front end of Sales and Marketing. She drives business results through active partner engagement for market expansion, product differentiation, and service development that meet customers requirement.
Proven Technology Executive and Leader with over 18 years’ experience in Global Cloud, Technology and Applications industries. Shehara is driven to deliver customer centric strategic solutions that produce significant revenue growth in new markets across MNC, Enterprise, Government, SMB and Retail sectors.
Shehara has a track record of driving change in medium and large companies to build capability across multiple business units to take new technology portfolios to market from inception. She has experience in driving change within businesses to adopt Agile and Rapid Delivery frameworks.
She is also a frequent speaker and panel member at Cloud and Digital Thought Leadership events.
Mr. Shabir Ali Murtaza is an ICT professional with deep knowledge and expertise in ICT operational frameworks development, operational processes assessment, reengineering, digitization, data analytics and producing AI algorithms. He has a vast experience of 16+ years working for Amadeus, Du PJSC UAE, Etisalat UAE, Huawei Technologies UAE & Oman, and Ooredoo Oman.
During his tenure with the aforementioned organizations, he worked on different operational roles and developed frameworks (including Risk Management, Quality, Audit/CSI, Process Management) , followed by supporting operational processes and digitization on self-initiative BPMN platform (called Digital Dynamics platform- DDP) resulting in uplifting the operational sigma level and efficiency.
Currently, he is employed with Ooredoo Oman (Qtel Group Operator in Oman) focusing on ICT governance standardization support and digitization.
He completed his Bachelor in Information technology in 2003 and acquired multiple industry certifications in industry standards and is an active member of many standards bodies.

He specialises in the acquisition and disposal of international data center assets and complex TCO financial modelling including the comparision of colocation vs self-perform vs cloud, sale and leaseback analysis, site sourcing, managing RFP/RFI processes and HOTs & SLA negotiations.
As CBRE’s subject matter expert on data center solutions, Tom is a strategic advisor and retained account manager to world leading carrier, technology and financial companies on data center consulting and global colocation data center markets across the Asia Pacific region. He is a leading expert in structuring high value, complex data center transactions in alignment to business-critical milestones.
Filippo is Managing Director for Asia Pacific at DOCOMO Digital, the international payments division of NTT DOCOMO of Japan.
During the last few years, Filippo has been leading DOCOMO Digital's tremendous growth in the JAPAC region, and forging enduring relationships with key corporate clients and partners - especially in telecoms, payments and app stores.
Previously, as Business Development Manager for Asia Pacific in RCS, a European media company, Filippo led the launch of OTTs and content partnerships - focusing on music majors, video streaming providers (SVOD), gaming companies and handsets manufacturers (OEM).
Filippo received an MBA degree from SDA Bocconi School of Management, Italy, with a major in Marketing of Media and Entertainment from NYU’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York.
As Nokia’s Senior Director of Solutions for Asia Pacific and Japan, Srinivas Bhattiprolu is primarily responsible for driving the company’s software portfolio business in the region.
A result-oriented IT professional with over 21 years of techno-managerial experience, Srinivas has cultivated a strong understanding of the security domain, specializing in IoT Consulting and IoT Security, building solution blueprints and the corresponding use cases for communication service providers. He also possesses knowledge and working experience in various domains such as telecommunications, banking, financial services and industrial process control.
Srinivas has also contributed his thoughts and experiences as speaker on various security topics such as 5G Security and IoT Security at key industry conferences like Mobile World Congress Shanghai and RSA Conference. He is also a professional researcher on organizational sustainability.
Srinivas’s professional accreditations include a CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) recognition from the ISACA (an international professional association focused on IT governance) and a CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) recognition from (ISC)2 (which specializes in training and certifications for cybersecurity professionals). He is also a PMP (Project Management Professional).
Prior to joining Nokia, Srinivas worked as the Director for Service Channels for Asia Pacific at F5 Networks. He has also held various senior consulting roles in technology industry players in the region, such as Oracle, Mahindra Satyam and Polaris Software Lab.
Based in Singapore, Srinivas holds a Bachelor of Technology in Instrumentation from the Andhra University College of Engineering in India. He also holds a PGDM in Finance and IS from the Xavier Institute of Management in India, in addition to a CGBL in General Management from U21 Global and a Certification of Organization Sustainability from the University of Cambridge. He also holds certifications from Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Machine Learning and Blockchain
Christopher (Chris) Street is Group Chief Marketing Officer of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC). He oversees the company’s global marketing initiatives and strategic account management across the company’s portfolio. He was previously Group General Manager of STT GDC, overseeing the company’s data centre portfolio in Singapore, and was responsible for building services and programmes to support customers’ needs across the STT GDC group.
Chris has been in the internet infrastructure industry for over 20 years, and has built and scale businesses in service provider and end-user environments. Prior to STT GDC, he was at Amazon where he was responsible for the acquisition of strategic technical infrastructure such as network and data centre services across the company’s global footprint. Prior to Amazon, Chris held various positions in the Sales, Marketing and Technical Operations functions at companies such as Switch & Data, AT&T, Equinix and CERFnet.
Chris graduated from Baruch College, NYC, with a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University Bloomington, USA.
Ka Vin brings with him over 30 years of Executive Management and leadership roles in the ICT industry. He is the Founder and Managing Director of DC1st Pte Ltd, a Singapore company established in 2017.
Prior to establishing DC1st, Ka Vin served as the MD of 1-Net where he led a major rebranding process, continued to grow its revenue by expanding their customer base and built SEA’s 1st Uptime Tier III DCCF DC in Singapore.
Previously, Ka Vin was the MD for CSF Asia where he was responsible for extending CSF Group DC business into Indonesia through the formation of a JV between PT Cyber CSF with KGN Group. He was responsible for constructing Jakarta’s largest and newest Data Center which was designed for the Telecom and Banking Industry. This is now the NTT Nexcenter DC in Jakarta.
Ka Vin spent 11 years in Singapore Technologies Telemedia where he held key management positions. He was involved in the early days of ST Telemedia’s growth in the industry, working on M&A and tenders for Telco licences both in Singapore and the region. He headed the team that developed the successful proposal for Starhub Mobile. Ka Vin went on to be one of the 2 prime founders of i-STT Data Centre which subsequently became Equinix, the world’s largest data center operator today. At Equinix, Ka Vin was the VP Business Development for Asia and he provided the leadership which ensured all 4 Asia sites delivered a positive EBITDA creating a US$80 million annual recurring revenue contribution from Equinix Asia’s operations by FY 2008.
Ka Vin holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from Sheffield Hallam University.

As part of the CISRO organization, I work with risk, information security, technology and functions teams to ensure security is embedded into the technology base and processes, support systems used for back office, and group operations. I bring 25+ years of experience working in information security and in business and technology as a Managing Director, CTO, founder of a company, and management and technical consultant to deliver insight and practical solutions.
I have the opportunity to work with the company's cloud first initiatives, as well as see how security needs to be incorporated into emerging technologies through my work with Standard Chartered Ventures.
Seán is an ICT industry executive with technology, sales and executive roles ranging from ISDN through all five generations of mobile technology. Throughout his 30 year career Seán has been based in 8 countries and has worked with customers on all continents. Seán retains an enviable global contact network.
From 1987 to 1995 Seán worked in Research and Development in Ireland, Mexico and Sweden. He started his sales career in 1995 and moved to Indonesia in early 2006 where he was responsible for customer solutions and customer support. In year 2000, Seán was responsible for business development in Asia, Europe and Africa for Ericsson’s CDMA Business Unit, based in California. In 2003 he became Vice President and CTO with Ericsson US, based in New York City, responsible for business and technology development with a number of operators, including Verizon, Nextel, and Sprint. In 2005 he was appointed President of Ericsson Taiwan. In 2007 Seán was appointed Executive Vice President, Ericsson Greater China, responsible for sales and operations in South China, covering the provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hainan. In parallel Seán was Vice President for Networks, Ericsson Greater China from 2009-2010. In 2010 Seán was appointed Executive Vice President Customer Engagement, Ericsson North East Asia, responsible for consultative sales and strategic business development, encompassing the entire Ericsson portfolio of products and services, across China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. In 2015 Seán was appointed President of Ericsson Philippines, with business responsibility for the Philippines and the Pacific Islands.
Seán is from Ireland and possesses a bachelors degree in Mathematics & Computer Science from University College Dublin. Seán is a native English speaker and is fluent in Swedish. Throughout his travels he has acquired, and forgotten to varying degrees, proficiency in Spanish, Mandarin, French and Bahasa Indonesia.
