Carrier Community, an exclusive global industry-media, branding, and networking platform for wholesale telecom service providers and eco system partners successfully hosted its 5th annual CC-GLOBAL AWARDS Ceremony. More than 250+ guests attended the exclusive hybrid event physically in Berlin at Marriott Hotel and virtually via the CC-Webinar.live platform with 37 winning companies celebrating their achievements.

The CC-Global Awards (CCGA) recognized innovations and achievements among telecom wholesale operators and ecosystem partners around the globe and were independently judged by a panel of 9 telecoms analysts and experts from the industry.

Based in Switzerland, VSC provides strategic advisory services in M&A, Business Development & Media for the telecommunication industry. Over the last 20 years, Erik developed extensive expertise and deep domain knowledge working at major telecom companies. His international career includes senior & executive level positions. Over the years, Erik has been a regular speaker & moderator at major international telecom conferences.

Wida Schmidt

CEO at Carrier Community

Biography

Wida Schmidt has spent over 18 professional years in the telecommunications industry holding various management positions within the industry. She is a graduated MBA from Bradford University. Since 2008, she is co-Founder and CEO of the Carrier Community – a global branding and networking telco club for the wholesale service providers and telco eco partners.

Florence Sébastien

CEO at FSE CONSULTING

Biography

Based in Paris, France, Florence is the consummate New Business Development Professional and Relationship Broker with broad experience in the telecommunications industry. After completing her Masters Degree in International Trade (Paris II Pantheon Assas), she joined Telecom Italia (TI) and played a critical role in growing TI's market share. After a decade at TI, she founded FSE Consulting in 2009 to help companies position themselves strategically to establish and grow impactful business relationships. Florence is adept at assessing risks and benefits as companies pursue global telecom opportunities.

Sophie Terrisse

Executive Chairman at 26FIVE

Biography

Sophie is the Executive Chairman of 26FIVE, a global consulting firm and innovation labs specialized in brand and growth management. The firm works with F1000, VCs and PEs across offices in New York, Mumbai, and Singapore, and has been behind the reinvention of numerous tech brands, resulting in billion dollars in growth and increased brand valuation. Partners and missions include Accenture, Atos, Equinix, iBASIS, Medidata, Microsoft, PDG, PTC, Tata Communications, Vodafone, and VEON. She is a global Ambassador for Télécoms Sans Frontières (TSF) and serves on several non-profit boards. Named Top 15 CEO and Top 10 firm by PR News and PR Week, she was a 2019 Global Women in Tech nominee for Outstanding Achievement as a Disruptor. Sophie is featured on CNBC, MSNBC, BNN and published in Time Magazine, USA Today, AdWeek, PR Week and Luxury Daily, covering trends in innovation, M&A, digital disruption, and consumer behavior. She holds a BA in Economics and a Law Degree from La Sorbonne, Paris.

Septika N. Widyasrini

Director - Owner at Elskov Company

Biography

Over the last 20 years, Septika developed expertise, knowlegde and network through her experience working at telecommunication companies. Her international career includes postings as senior and executive level positions. She is continuing to provide strategic advisory service and support the Regional industry development by helping startups in navigating go-to-market strategy and facilitating investors.

Saurabh Verma

Director, ICT at Regional Head – ICT, Middle East Practice

Biography

Saurabh brings with him over fifteen years of experience in strategic consulting and advisory to ICT service providers, and CxOs across private and public sector enterprises. He is the leader for Frost & Sullivan’s ICT practice for the Middle East Region. His forte lies in strategy consulting around go-to-market, business models, business planning, M&A/JV opportunities, and IT sourcing advisory for CIOs. Recent advisory services engagements have mostly focused on cloud and datacenter strategies, undersea cables, business case development, 5G use cases, feasibility assessments, and contact centers. Over the years, Saurabh has been frequently quoted in media on major market developments, and has been regularly featured in leading telecom magazines with his thought leadership pieces on 5G and its use cases.

José A. García

Managing Director - Owner at GTC

Biography

Mr. José García is an expert in in wholesale voice and SMS messaging with over 18 years’ experience in the telecom industry. As former VP of Sales & Carrier Relations at tyntec, one of the largest A2P SMS service providers globally, José gained a deep industry expertise developing profitable SMS business across the globe. During his 10 years at Verizon he headed up a European team responsible for international voice services. Previously, he managed the operator department of mobile payments business in Central and Southern Europe for Netsize, a Gemalto company focussed on. José holds a Spanish citizenship, is based in Munich and studied Business Administration in Frankfurt.

Arun Dehiri

Managing Director at Red Dawn Consulting

Biography

Arun Dehiri is Red Dawn’s founder and Managing Director. He is a pioneering management consultant with 23 years of experience in media, telecoms, finance & management. Arun has spent 17 years in leading professional service firms including PWC, TMNG & Analysys Mason, grounded with 6 years of industry roles within BSkyB and Orange. Arun originally founded a boutique consultancy in 2004, which was acquired by Analysys Mason where on the Executive Board, led its Telecoms Sector and was the Sales Director. Arun leads strategy development and delivery teams for blue-chip brands and early growth companies across the globe addressing strategic & operational requirements. Most comfortable at the white board, Arun inspires clients to realise corporate visions and personal aspirations by delivering his thought leadership in a clear, concise and considered manner. He has developed strong C-level relationships and a trusted team of high performing consultants with both sales & operational capabilities.He has an exceptional approach to identify opportunities through market insights, listening to clients needs, and rapidly translating these into a solution framework. He is regular conference speaker and an expert in convergence, pricing, proposition innovation, mobile virtual network operators (MVNO), sales optimisation, mobile applications, enterprise solutions, mobile banking, financial and organisational transformation,IT & networking and KPI optimisation. Arun has developed a rich toolkit of robust analytical and strategic programme methodologies.

Miguel Lopes

Director of Product Management at Syniverse

Biography

Miguel started in 1999 as a developer and in 2002 he co-founded an MSP in West Africa. In 2007 he also co-founded what would be the first Wi-Fi ISP in Cape Verde. Five years later, Miguel accepted the invitation from Ezelink Telecom in Dubai, to revolutionize the company strategy in the Intelligent Hotspot, IoT and Smart City solutions as Director of Technology. Afterwards, since 2015, Miguel has been working in Silicon Valley and been involved in several projects to help Service Providers monetize their voice business. Currently, he is Director of Product Management at Syniverse

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS

The entry form must be completed online at the Carrier Community Award Portal. The number of submissions is limited to 10 categories per company. Fully completed online submissions must be sent in by the 28 February, 2021 and accompanied by a jpeg logo, high-resolution print format logo (preferably eps) and supportive materials.
Supporting evidence or documents must be included on entry forms (such as pictures and graphs). Please ensure any supporting evidence is relevant.
It is essential that we can contact you easily with questions regarding your entry, or judging inquiries and requests for further information. Therefore, please provide us with an awards liaison representative who can make these inquiries. You must provide their full contact details on the entry form.
We reserve the right to re-allocate any entry, which in our opinion, has been incorrectly categorised.
Jury members applying will be rejected from judging any categories and disqualified.
Up to 5 companies will be shortlisted in each category and the shortlists will be published by the middle of April, 2021. The winners will be announced during the Carrier Community Global Awards Ceremony at CEE 2021 GCCM in Berlin.
Shortlisted companies can only purchase seats in the on-site Premium Lounge or Hybrid option (see point 9.). A minimum purchase of two seats (EUR 490 + VAT per seat) is required to represent a Shortlisted Company at the Awards Ceremony and to potentially collect an Award. Entrants unable attend the Awards Ceremony will not be included in the final shortlist.
All non-shortlisted companies and CEE GCCM and SMS Messaging Summit-registered delegates have access to the Carrier Community Global Awards Ceremony and basic lounge only. Allocated seating or standing slots are subject to early RSVP responses and will include a drink). Places are limited and are subject to availability at the time of booking.
