Carrier Community (CC) is a global telecom club established 2008. CC has organized its 7th annual CENTRAL EASTERN EUROPE 2020 GCCM – Berlin 25th & 26th August 2020 at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel (Grand Ballroom 3) for its members with the below features and activities. CC member executives representing decision makers globally have met and networked in Berlin.

Bernhard Pusch is Head of Global Internet Strategy at Telstra.
Based in Paris, Bernhard is responsible for developing and driving Telstra’s Internet business and peering activities globally. He joined Telstra in 2005, and prior to his current role was responsible for developing the wholesale business in Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as with European OTTs.
Bernhard has more than two decades of experience in IT and telecoms in Europe and Asia, spanning roles in sales, product management and marketing. Before joining Telstra, Bernhard was Sales Director for Global Accounts at Nortel, based in Hong Kong.
In November 2019 Bernhard was elected to serve on the supervisory board of AMS-IX (Amsterdam Internet Exchange) for 3 years. He is currently a member of the finance committee there supervising reporting and forecasting processes.

He worked for 10 years at Ericsson in various positions, including the Global Installation Engineering process owner position and also different marketing, and sales managerial positions. In 2012 he moved to the operators’ side, and worked for Vivendi Telecom Hungary, Invitel International, Pantel and finally Türk Telekom International. Pal has worked for TTI since the establishment of the company and was responsible for various sales assignments, then took the position of Procurement and Pricing Director and currently he is the Market Development Director. He has worked in this position for more than 4 years, being responsible for the TTI Group’s major development projects new submarine cable projects, high capacity multi-regional transit routes and overall supporting the establishment of new business partnerships.
Steffen Oefner is the heading the Mobile Wholesale Business Models team at Deutsche Telekom – Segment Europe. In this role, Steffen is responsible for Deutsche Telekom´s Mobile Wholesale business in the European footprint together with the local teams. This includes developing and implementing growth opportunities with existing and potential partners.
Prior to joining Mobile Wholesale, Steffen worked in multiple international functions at Deutsche Telekom. Between 2000 and 2009, Artur spent 10 years at TeliaSonera International Carrier where he was managing regional operations for West Europe, Central & Eastern Europe as well as Asia.
In his career, Artur played instrumental roles in conducting a transformation and restructuring telecommunication operations in multiple countries and regions. Artur has also driven a number of M&A activities successfully acquiring and integrating infrastructure operators in various markets.

Maxim Akinin has more then 20 years’ on telecom experience, including 6+ years’ management roles in Systems integration business in Russia and CIS, 4+ in business and sales management in Alcatel-Lucent and Nortel. Before joining Rostelecom Maxim was managing Level 3 Communications business in Russia and CIS in Country manager role. Since June 2017 Maxim Akinin is responsible for International Carrier Business at Rostelecom.
John enjoyed more than 25 years in Tech working for telecom technology and managed transport service providers in International Sales and Business Development generating new revenue streams, usually from scratch. Jens Leuchters is the managing director at NewTelco GmbH, where Jens is responsible for sales as well as product development. Jens develops the strategy for the SME market entry, as well as the digitization of internal business processes.
Jens has been in ICT since 1993 and started his career in internal IT at BT. Since 2003 he has been responsible for international management functions, including Interoute (GTT) and NTT.
As Regional Manager starting from 2003, Jens built the carrier business at Interoute. Next to this he was driving the enterprise GTM as well as the integration & migration of the acquired hosting provider PSI-Net in the DACH region. In 2009 he took over the management of the Japanese NTT Communication for CEE as Region General Manager. In 2016, Jens took over the SVP Network Services position in NTT Europe, where he pushed ahead with the transformation of the corporate network to SDWAN solutions and transferred the European Network BU into a global network factory.
