GasLINE is one of the main fibre-optic cable infrastructure providers. It has a nationwide network covering more than 25,000 km. Another 4,000 km will be built by 2020. The GasLINE network connects to inter-regional fibre-optic infrastructures in cities (operated, for example, by city carriers) and telecommunication centres (telehouses and PoPs) as well as data centres operated by providers of information and telecommunication technology and media organisations.
GasLINE offers local communities and municipalities the opportunity to have their regions supplied with broadband Internet and attractive services by regional telecommunications providers via new fibre-optic lines. Apart from dark fibre GasLINE provides Carrier Ethernet and Wavelength services with flexible transmission rates of up to 100Gbit/s for powerful network solutions.
